Fraser Sturgeon Fishing remains solid
As we head out for a Sturgeon fishing charter from the Mission marina there’s a lot of anticipation in the air on this sunny crisp morning. The memories of March 31 slay fest is firmly in our minds. Will it be a repeat? As the old addage goes, time will tell.
We head up river to where there’s been plenty of activity lately. A quick sounding of the river bottom reveals a few Sturgeon so we drop anchor and settle in to our first spot. Lines are cast out and our baits lay deliciously on the river bottom. And so we wait…

A Sturgeon is on right away!
It doesn’t take too long and the first fish is hooked. This always makes the captain happy. The guys know what they are doing and after 10 minutes our first White Sturgeon is brought to the side of the jet boat. It’s maybe 4.5 feet and easy to bring in for a quick photo and release.

Sturgeon results for the day
A pretty good day overall with 7 fish landed. We had to work a little bit harder for results today but that’s fishing. The outlook for the next month should be nice. As we head further into the season we’ll see bigger and bigger fish.
