Big fish and smokey skies
With no regard for travel restrictions the American smoke crossed the border and stuffed our BC skies. We’re used to fog on the Fraser River but this stuff doesn’t burn off by 9 AM. So for a couple of weeks we had smokey charters for some big ass Sturgeon!
In early September we came across a few slow days but by September 10 it was on fire. Even as the end of the month approaches the Sturgeon fishing is still quite remarkable. Several larger fish are being hooked each day by our boats. When I say large I am referring to fish over 7 feet. But several well over 8 and a few over 9 feet(400 lbs) have been encountered. These are the trophy fish that our guests dream about.
