This May has been an incredible Sturgeon fishing month!

Baits are sitting deep and we wait
This fish hammered down the bait and took off like lightning! Withing 30 seconds she had left no more than 5 meters of line on the reel before we were able to pull anchor and power reverse down river rapidly and precisely to prevent a catastrophy. Chase your Sturgeon!
We drifted down river with the current as Kevin tried to subdue the fish. This takes time on big powerful Sturgeon. Each time the fish peels line from the Shimano Talica 16 reel it spends energy, so it will tire out eventually. The angler is also running out of energy. It’s a battle of willpower. We eventually landed it on a small sand bar in the middle of the river about 3 km from where it was hooked. 45 minutes had passed.
