As we launch our jet boats in the morning fog in Mission BC we are full of anticipation for the incredible Sturgeon fishing that awaits us in November!
These fish are incredibly hungry and you’ve pretty much got the river to yourself!

Why November sturgeon fishing is epic
White Sturgeon are already wet and the water is cold but they are fish. Fish are wet and cold all the time. They don’t care. They want and need to be wet. But they are active for ONE simple reason. Feeding time. November provides a lot of food and therefore they are on a bit of a feeding frenzy in preparation for the winter. Yup just like Bears or Eagles. Dead or dying salmon provide a miracle food source for virtually all wildlife along BC coastal rivers.
