As many are well aware there’s intense Sturgeon Fishing going on from mid March to early May!
2018 Springtime Sturgeon fishing on the Fraser River is living up to it’s usual reputation for delivering plenty of action! As the Sturgeon are out of their wintry slumber they are now on the prowl for some much needed food. Each spring time the smelts return to the lower Fraser River and all creatures big and small will have a feast on these oily high protein fishes also known as Eulachon or Candlefish.
Many of our regulars will book Sturgeon charters for 1 day all the way up to 7 days if they are travelling from Europe for this action packed fishery.

What’s happening on the Fraser River right now:
Quite a few of our jet boats have been out over the past week. April Sturgeon fishing should never be overlooked! Stocked up with the finest baits available, the fish haven’t had a chance really. For example we had a 4 boat corporate trip on March 28 where in the first hour of the trip there were over 15 fish brought to the side of the boats. It’s only going to get better.
Most fish will be in the 4 to 6.5 ft range but there’s very good chances of getting the bigger ones over 7 and 8 feet.
Before noon and everyone has fought several Sturgeon!
