Our 2021 fishing season had some fantastic results and experiences for many of our angling guests. We had some exciting Sturgeon fishing on the Fraser River plus some great Salmon fishing. Notably there was a BIG Pink Salmon run in September and the Coho run in October and November was awesome!

So without further ramblings let’s get to it. Everyone loves pictures anyways.

Our overview of the 2021 salmon fishing season

On the plus side the Fraser River Valley had a very good return of Pink Salmon in September. 10 million Pinks returned, way up from the previous cycle in 2019, when the return was quite poor. So let’s hope for another great return in 2023.

Coho Salmon numbers were also very impressive! And many of them were a good size, with many over 10 lbs.

Chum Salmon numbers were down a bit but the action was still plenty good enough for any angler.

What’s in store for 2022 Salmon fishing?

2022 is expected to be a strong return of Fraser River Sockeye, starting in early August, and lasting well into September. Coho will start in later September, and last until mid November. Chums will be available from early October until late November. Chinook numbers have been good for a few years but government mismanagement of opportunities has plagued us for too long. We will be holding them accountable this year.
