Fraser River Salmon Fishing OPENS September 19th, 2016
An unusually late opening that will hopefully not be repeated in 2017.
Finally the Fraser river will be open to Salmon fishing on September 19th, 2016. Our highly dysfunctional Department of Fisheries and Oceans(DFO) has opened the Fraser to sport fishing for Chinook salmon and Chum salmon. A lack of salmon wasn’t really the issue here, but rather political bunglings and lack of leadership. The big run of Fall Chinooks can now be targeted on our Fraser river fishing charters! We will be bar fishing, plug fishing and deep spinner fishing for these Fraser Chinooks that can go over 50 lbs and average 20-25 lbs. There’s good reports from the ocean guys that there’s a big run heading our way. We think Chinook fishing could be very good well into October, but time will tell.
Bookings are very high for our Salmon fishing charters in the fall so if you want to reserve a spot please fill in the Contact form below ASAP.
