Steelhead love jigs
Was out yesterday on the Vedder river in pursuit of a chrome Winter run Steelhead. My arsenal? A red jig and some finely cured prawns. The outcome was a silver bullet hooked into in the first 10 minutes of my outing. A beauty hen of about 10 lbs. Had 2 other float disappearances after that but no connection. A kind angler who had just got himself a beauty Steelhead 30 minutes earlier took plenty of photos for me.
