Our jaws dropped when this Sturgeon first exploded out of the Fraser River! What do guides do after a charter? Well, we go fishing. Yesterday was no different. Mike(one of our guides) hooked up with me around 5pm to hit the river and Sturgeon fish for a bit. The weather was sweet so we just had to go. We went up the Fraser from the Mission boat launch about 10 minutes and dropped anchor. Baits were carefully selected and cast into the depths where they lay deliciously on the bottom. We wait now. Didn’t have to wait long however, maybe 5 minutes. Mike’s rod went thump thump and then the […]

This massive Fraser River Sturgeon put on a show! It was a Sturgeon to be reckoned with. Not just in size but the battle was epic! 5 tail walking jumps out of the river spread over an hour and a half and the fish was landed 5 km down river from where it was hooked on May 21, 2016. Watch the video below and see 1 of the incredible jumps from early in the battle.

We think 350 pounds and 102″ translates into a Beast of a Sturgeon This Sturgeon was clearly the fish of a lifetime for all 15 guys who were part of a 3 boat fishing charter with us on Saturday May 7th. The stag group were amazed at how tough […]
Sturgeon Fishing remains solid As we head out from the Mission marina there’s a lot of anticipation in the air on this sunny crisp morning. The memories of March 31 slay fest is firmly in our minds. Will it be a repeat? As the old addage goes, time will tell. We head up river to where there’s been plenty of activity lately. A quick sounding of the river bottom reveals a few Sturgeon so we drop anchor and settle in to our first spot. Lines are cast out and our baits lay deliciously on the river bottom. And so we wait… It doesn’t take too long and the first fish […]
